Random Thoughts:
Peru is set up pretty well for travelers, and easy enough to guide your way through the large country.
Peru's busses, especially Cruz del Sur, were very nice and the best we've seen yet (we've heard Argentina and Chile's are even better). It's kind of like being on an airplane since there's a "bus attendant" that serves food and beverages, there are movies to watch, and they even provide blankets and pillows.
Machu Picchu is on everyone in Peru's "to-see" list as it is pretty spectacular. We were glad to get to see it, and experience it the way we did with good company!
